Maxxis Assegai Tire – Greg Minnaar’s signature tire provides tenacious and predictable grip across the entire profile regardless of lean angle.
The Assegai can be used both front and rear for safety or as a front tire paired with a faster rolling rear tire.

Rubber:
Dual compound (best for dry and hard conditions)

3C MaxxTerra (best for mixed conditions) - the compound offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, but also provides better tread wear and lower rolling resistance than MaxxGrip, making it ideal for trail riding in all conditions.

3C MaxxGrip (best for soft and wet conditions) – the compound uses the stickiest and slowest rebounding rubber.

Shell:

Downhill: (DH) two layers of our durable 60 TPI casing material along with a large butyl rubber insert that extends from each bead to the sidewall.
Sizes 2.40″ and wider are optimized for rims with an internal width of 30mm – 35mm.
TR: Tubeless Ready.
