The name Gems refers to a precious stone. ALPINA GEMS is our freeriding jewel: unique, light and valuable - a jewel for the head. A particularly notable feature of GEMS is the structure of the scattered hole pattern, which allows for ventilation throughout the surface. This function will come in handy for every freerider while climbing or in sunny mountain weather. Of course, active ventilation can also be controlled while wearing gloves. For extra protection in the backcountry, the helmet has a low hood around the back of the head and a hybrid shell structure that also distributes the forces exerted by objects hitting the helmet.
