Made from precision machined 4140 steel, the BBT-179 is a rugged tool designed for removing and installing select threaded bottom brackets with a 12-tooth clamping profile, including SRAM® BSA DUB®, Race Face® Cinch®, Rotor® BSA30 and more.
The BBT-179 is designed to be compatible with any bottom bracket with the appropriate clamping element, with an extra deep body for extra wide axles and low-profile walls at the engagement point for recessed circlips.
The BBT-179 has three tool connections – a 3/8" drive, a 1" hex drive and a 36mm flat wrench – allowing you to tackle even the most blocked bottom bracket shells.
For added stability, the BBT-179 features integrated threads for use with the Park Tool BBT-RS bottom bracket mounting system or GPS-1 guide pins.
It is suitable for 12-tooth threaded chucks of center-mount tools with a larger diameter (outer side of the teeth) of 45–47 mm and a smaller diameter (inner side of the teeth) of 44 mm, including:
SRAM® BSA DUB®
Race Face® Cinch®
