Made from precision machined 4140 steel, the BBT-169 puller is a robust tool designed for the removal and installation of select components with 16-tooth clamping elements, including bottom brackets, center lock disc brakes, and e-bike motor circlips.
The BBT-169 is designed to be compatible with any bottom bracket with the appropriate clamping element, with an extra deep body for extra wide axles and low-profile walls at the engagement point for recessed circlips.
The BBT-169 has three tool connections – a 3/8" drive, a 1" hex drive and a 36mm flat wrench – allowing you to tackle even the most blocked bottom bracket shells.
For added stability, the BBT-169 features integrated threads for use with the Park Tool BBT-RS Bottom Bracket Tool Retaining System or GPS-1 guide pins.
It is suitable for 16-tooth chucks with a larger diameter (outer) of 44–45 mm and a smaller diameter (inner) of 42.7 mm, including:
Shimano® BB80, BB5700, XT® BB70, BB51 and earlier bottom bracket shells with external bearing thread
