Maximum performance with minimum weight!

The MC-FLY is the lightest trail and enduro SPD pedal on the market and offers perfect contact between the pedal and the shoe with a large contact area. This connection guarantees maximum control over the bicycle.

The MC-FLY is SPD-compatible and with its 5 ° float offers plenty of freedom of movement for an active riding style and leaves enough space at a 12 ° release angle to keep you in control between the click and eject. The setting and reading of the release hardness on the mechanism is also a matter of course.

A particularly important element are the 4 selectable pins, which are arranged around the tread mechanism. Using these pins, it is possible to set the contact pressure between the shoe and the pedal. Simply insert the pins and secure them in height until the contact pressure fits perfectly.

The pedal promises a long service life thanks to the use of a wide tapered roller bearing on the inside and an encapsulated ball bearing on the outside, as well as multiple seals against dirt and moisture.

Instructions for use for Tatze pedals

A) Connecting the pedals to the crank
The right pedal connects clockwise and the left pedal counterclockwise.
1. Lightly apply grease to the pedal thread.
2. Connect the axle to the crank with a thread and tighten the pedal to a torque of 33 Nm with a 6mm Allen key.

B) For foot pedals:
Assembly of footcases- The right and left suitcases are identical.
1. Lightly apply grease to the screw thread.
2. Use a 4 mm Allen key to tighten the suitcases to the shoe.
3. Tighten the screws to a torque of 7 Nm.

C) Connecting the shoes to the pedals
The connection pressure setting is located on the pedal. Use a 3 mm Allen key to adjust the connection pressure.

1. Increasing the pressure, turning the screw clockwise (+), will make the shoe more secure to the pedal, but it will be more difficult to engage and disconnect the shoe from the pedal.
2. By reducing the pressure, turning the screw counterclockwise (-), you will achieve a looser securing of the shoe to the pedal, which will make it easier to engage and disconnect the shoe from the pedal.
3. Attach the shoe to the pedal by pushing the trunk into the body of the foot pedal.
4. Disconnect the shoe by twisting the heel (away from the bicycle). In a critical situation, the shoe can also disengage in the opposite direction. If you have not used the foot pedals before, practice them safely. Make sure the pressure setting is at the lowest level. Stand / sit on the bike with one foot firmly on the ground with the other foot practicing engaging and detaching the shoe to the pedal. After practicing on the spot, go into the terrain with less traffic and practice engaging and detaching while driving slowly until you master this movement.
5. If the balance is lost while driving, the shoe may not disengage automatically. If you already know how to predict such a situation, disconnect the shoe from the pedal in advance.
6. If your ride is very spirited, you may inadvertently disconnect the shoe from the pedal when the heel moves abruptly, which may cause it to fall off the bicycle. To prevent such a situation, increase the joint pressure to a level that suits your skills.

IMPORTANT! The pressure should be the same on both pedals. Low pressure is recommended for beginners and cyclists who need to uncouple their shoes frequently (for example, during heavy traffic). The screws should not be too loose or too tight. Excessive tightening can damage the thread and the screw may fall out if tightened slightly.
