Expertly hand-braided and highly versatile, the Afterburner MTB 29” tubeless-compatible wheels are the ideal upgrade for fast mountain bikes, cyclocross and even gravel bikes. The 6-bolt hubs are ready for modern disc brake systems.
At 26.1mm wide and 25mm high, the asymmetrical aluminum rim is almost square in cross-section and very strong. The black anodizing adds durability to the surface and, together with the black spokes and black brass hardware, gives the Afterburner wheels a rugged and stealthy look. They weigh just 1740g per pair.
The front hub is compatible with a 9mm QR or 15mm thru-axle and features 24 straight-pull spokes in a double-cross pattern. The 24-spoke rear hub features an aluminum nut with 6 pawls for instant engagement and spins on double-row stainless steel bearings. It's available for 9-11 speed Shimano or 10-12 speed SRAM and is compatible with 135mm QR and 142mm thru-axles. Aluminum QRs, rim tape, and tubeless valves are also included.
